It is the government's responsibility to control the price increase in cement: Sharma

Maoist Center MP Janardhan Sharma has said that it is the government's responsibility to control the price increase in cement.

In Wednesday's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives, MP Sharma said that no one disagreed about protecting industries, but that cartelizing prices was wrong. He said that because the market determines the price of goods, the market will not be able to determine the price after cartelization.

MP Sharma said that the price of every item will increase after the market is syndicated. He said that it is the weakness of the state to allow price increase and cartelization in the market. MP Sharma, who is also the Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center, said, 'The market will determine the price of goods. After cartelization, the market cannot determine the price . There is an increase in price after syndication. This is wrong. Allowing this to happen is the weakness of the state. The government became weak. The government will not allow cartelizing, it will intervene.'

Sharma said that industrialists are cartelizing to kill consumers. "It is not right for the industrialists to cartelize to the detriment of the people and consumers." We are ready to discuss other problems . Loadshedding is 6 hours in industries, from today it will also be removed,' former finance minister Sharma said, 'Industrialists cannot run industries by cartelizing . The government should take responsibility for this. Price control will be done by the government.'

Sharma also said that it was not right for the Parliament's Accounts Committee to discuss the government's decision to control prices. He also expressed his displeasure that the subject was brought up on a matter that does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Audit Committee.
