Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that Nepal's political trend of reaching power and exploiting state power is unfortunate.
Bhattarai, who came to the home district of Gorkha on Tuesday, during a conversation with journalists, said that the old political parties do not have any idea of developing the country. "No matter how you get to power, exploit the state power, contract leases, collect money by being a commission agent, then keep the workers, collect election expenses, politics has become such a business, the unfortunate thing is that," he said, "old political power and leaders are sitting in power by turns. No, they have no credibility, they have no idea of country development, that's why the people are looking for alternatives.'
He alleges that the country is heading towards crisis due to the old style of politics and leadership style of leaders. "It means that we should give an option to protect the achieved achievements and move forward," he said. He said that he has repeatedly raised the issue of the election system and the form of government. "There has been an argument that they threw me out of the government, and I will fix it when I come in," he said.
He said that since last year, he had met the top leaders of the three main parties and suggested forming a national government. He said that he suggested to proceed by forming a national government in order to complete the peace process and bring the economic management plan to stop the youth in the country.
