Legal professionals protested against the physical attack on senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi by tying a black belt. Lawyers protested by tying black bands on their hands at the Nepal Bar Association premises on Sunday.

On the call of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the members of the bar protested by tying black bands on their hands. Senior advocate Tripathi was attacked while coming out after debating the cooperative fraud case at the Kathmandu District Court.

In the same matter, legal professionals protested under pressure to ensure their safety. Speaking at the protest program, Gopalkrishna Ghimire, the president of Nepal Bar Association, while returning from the discussion of the case, demanded that legal professionals should be widened due to attacks on legal professionals in the court premises.

Senior advocate Shambhu Thapa said that the assault on the lawyer was condemnable. Political party workers and political parties should also take it seriously.
