The fraternal organization of the ruling Congress, Navy Sangh, has blocked Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor Professor Kesharjung Baral from coming to office. After their people were not appointed as heads of various campuses of the University, the Navy Union protested against the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Rector of the University.

Vice-Chancellor Baral did not come to the office on Thursday after the obstruction of the Navy Association. After warning the vice chancellor to dismiss the registrar professor Kedar Rizal and the rector professor Khadge KC as well, the spokesperson of TU Yamansingh Bohra informed that the vice chancellor Baral did not come to the office citing security reasons. An employee of Nevinsagh Triwika also says that the group of Vishnu Badaila, president of Triwika, has threatened the vice-chancellor saying that the person they say should be the head of Sankardev and Sanothimi campuses.

Similarly, despite the protest of the union saying that the admissions at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels have been stopped, the university has extended the admission period with the demands of the students. The Navy Union has also pasted some papers on the door of the office of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. In which the rector registrar has been demanded to be dismissed. In addition, some indecent comments have also been made in that pamphlet. It is being protested even on social media saying that the students made such low-level comments.

Dujang Sherpa, the Central Chairman of the Union, said that Badaila had been instructed to do self-criticism. Mentioning that such activities by students are sad, he said that he has instructed to self-criticize immediately. Badaila said that they did not ask for any part and said that they protested only symbolically. He said that meritocracy was not adopted in the appointment of the campus head.
