Discussions have been held with the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee for the amendment of four laws in the Ministry of Forestry and Environment.
On Thursday, the ministry discussed the amendment proposals and appropriate amendments to the proposed Forestry Act 2076, Environment Protection Act 2076, National Parks and Wildlife Protection Act 2079 and Land and Watershed Protection Act 2039 in the bill (2080) made to amend some Nepalese laws.
Section 26, 42 and 45 of the Forest Act 2076 were proposed to be amended . The discussion was to not amend the proposed amendment in section 26, to reconcile the proposed amendment in section 42 and to amend as proposed in section 45 .
Similarly, the amendment proposal was discussed in Sections 3, 11, 12, 22 and 41 of the Environment Protection Act, 2076 and Sections 2 and 26 of the National Parks and Wildlife Protection Act, 2029.
Forest Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, Secretary Deepak Kumar Kharal and committee members Nagina Yadav, Mahesh Kumar Bertaula, Jeevan Kumar Pariyar, Ranjukumari Jha, Sushila Thing and Sher Bahadur Kunwar discussed.
'The matter of this law was discussed before in the law committee,' Secretary Kharal said, 'This discussion was called on the initiative of the minister to make the committee members more clear.' They have stated that they will approve.
