Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi was assaulted in Kathmandu District Court premises on Wednesday. Swarnalakshmi was assaulted while returning from arguing against Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, in the fraud case.

After that, he was taken to a safe place by the police. Advocate Tripathi argued on behalf of Swarnalakshmi co-op victim in Kathmandu District Court.

During the closing argument in the courtroom of Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari in the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday, the government lawyers made a counterargument on behalf of the defendant.

The police have claimed that there was no violence against Advocate Tripathi. 'Swarnalakshmi Cooperative Fraud against the Chairman of the National Independent Party, Ravi Lamichhane, when he was returning from arguing on behalf of the accused, he was attacked by a crowd. After that, there was a push,'' District Police Spokesperson SP Navraj Adhikari said, 'Our team is under the command of the DSP.'
