In five months, 16 people died and 145 were injured in the fire

In the last five months, 16 people have lost their lives and 145 people have been injured in fire incidents across the country. According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, 5 men and 11 women died in fire incidents from July to November.

One of them is a girl. There are 72 men and 73 women among the injured. Among them, 3 are boys and 5 are girls. 29 people have been displaced by the fire.

During this time, there were 1,116 fire incidents across the country. According to the police, 455 animals and four-footed animals were damaged in the fire.

In terms of physical damage, 190 houses, 130 sheds and 1 government office have been damaged.  In five months, there has been a financial loss of 499 million 28 thousand 330 rupees due to fire. .

Most fires in Koshi province

Among the 1,116 fire incidents across the country, there are many fire incidents in Koshi province. In these five months, 331  And 269 fire incidents have occurred in Madhesh.

While there were 210 fires across the Wagmati Province, only 140 fire incidents occurred in the valley. Similarly, 114 incidents occurred in Lumbini Province, 81 in Gandaki Province, 60 in Sudurpaschim Province and 51 in Karnali Province. According to police statistics, 8,322 policemen were deployed in fire control and rescue.
