The Madhes-centric parties, divided into many parties, have once again joined efforts to form a front. Taking the opportunity of Maghe Sankranti, they have engaged in formal talks after a long time. While eating sesame laddu and khichdi, they tried to find a way for future cooperation. The first joint meeting between the negotiation committee formed by all the parties was held on Tuesday.
It was coordinated by Janata Pragatisheel Party President Hridayash Tripathi. Leaders in the negotiation committee from five parties centered on Madhes gathered to eat Khichdi at Samarpan Academy Hall in Dhumbarai. Apart from that, independent MP Amersh Kumar Singh was also present there . In the
meeting, Surendra Jha and Manish Mishra from Democratic Samajwadi Party led by Mahanth Thakur, Dr. Sharad Singh Yadav from Janmat Party led by CK Raut, Renu Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party led by Ashok Rai, Keshav Jha and Anil Mahaseth from Rashtriya Mukti Morcha led by Rajendra Mahato were present. Similarly, from the Janata Pragatisheel Party, which coordinated the meeting, President Tripathi, leaders Ishwar Dayal Mishra, Sawir Hussain and other leaders participated. No one from Upendra Yadav's Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal was present. The party has formed a working group consisting of vice president Rajkishore Yadav, Ram Kumar Sharma and Manish Suman. However, there was no representation from the working group.
"I understand that all the leaders in the negotiation committee could not be present because it was a festival day," Tripathi said, "The first meeting was held today." Everyone's spirits are good.' He said that there is talk of 'loose alliance' among all parties to cooperate on issues without party integration or front. "I have come to know that the members of the working group formed by Upendraji's party were not present because they were outside Kathmandu," he said. There may have been a short notice because of the fact that we will hold the first meeting.
He said that the next meeting is to discuss how to cooperate, what will be the modality and so on. He mentioned that all the parties and leaders feel the need for cooperation, looking at the possible danger of losing the achievements from the constitution.
After collaborating with Madhes-centric parties in the first phase, he said that efforts will be made to further expand it and collaborate with other identity-based tribal tribes, oppressed Dalit-centric parties and forces.
