The Nepali Congress' sister organization Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh has prepared a draft of the constitution amendment. The Constitution Drafting Committee of the Union prepared the revised draft of the Constitution and submitted it to the Central Committee.
According to the federal structure of the country, the draft of the revised constitution of the union has been prepared, Dujang Sherpa, the president of the union, informed. According to him, a committee was formed by the association under the coordination of central member Nagendra Prasad Acharya on November 27 for amending and revising the constitution.
At present, the ad-hoc committee formed to conduct the convention has 700 members . But in the draft prepared now, it is proposed to limit the Central Committee to 135 members. In which there will be 29 office bearers and there will be an election for the position other than the treasurer.
President Sherpa said that the draft will be submitted to the central committee meeting and will be discussed and passed. Then after the approval of the party, the statute will come into effect .
The central members of the working group formed for the revision and amendment of the statute were Vivek Limbu, Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, Sunil Shahi and Manju Vishwakarma.
