Diversion construction has been started after the bridge was broken and the road was blocked at Dumkibas under the East-West Highway. At 5:30 pm on Friday evening, the traffic on the East-West Highway was halted after the bridge collapsed due to an overloaded truck.

Nawalparasi East  Major District  officer  Arun Pokhrel  He said that preparations are being made to operate the transport by making an alternative route. 'It will take some time, we are looking for alternatives,' he said.  Pokharel said that it may take at least until Saturday afternoon to make a

diversion. The road division team has been deployed in the field  He said. 

alternative Hongsi route

After the bridge was broken in Dumkibas, Hongsi route can be used as an alternative road. After traveling about 12 kilometers from Dumkibas via Hongsi route, one can leave on the East-West highway. Going north from Pulpari and exiting through Hongsi Road, one and a half kilometers east of the bridge comes out
