Congress leader NP Saud has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's statement that the constitution will be amended only in the year 2087 is against the agreement reached between Congress and UML during the formation of the constitution and government.
Congress central members, who are also MPs, have said that Prime Minister Oli has raised questions about the future of the ruling coalition.
In the function meeting and interaction program organized by Bardia district committee of Congress on Thursday, Saud, who is also the former foreign minister, said that the prime minister's statement raised questions about the legitimacy of the power alliance.

Saud also said that the Congress needs to be serious about the statement made by the Prime Minister regarding the amendment of the Constitution. In which he has said that the amendment of the constitution will take place around 2087 . His roadmap to amend the constitution around 2087 is such that no one can remember it,' he said. We have said that if the alliance of Congress and UML fails to amend the constitution, we will agree on a national consensus. Standing on the foundation of that commitment, the prime minister will implement the 7-point consensus on the constitutional amendment?' In the
program, Congress central member Dila Sangraula said that even though there is power cooperation with the UML, it should not be forgotten that the competition of the Congress is with the UML. She asserted that the journey of prosperity will be decided only on the foundation of good governance.
