Janardan Sharma, Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center, said that it would be appropriate to select the leadership through direct elections. Speaking on the report of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Central Committee meeting of Maoists on Tuesday, he gave the opinion that it is appropriate to elect the Chairman through elections.

There is a debate whether to hold a convention or not. I would like to remind the meeting by announcing that the president himself will hold the convention. The party should be formed according to the law. But there is a problem because the party is not running according to the law. "Inclusive leadership is possible from the convention," he said. Party leadership is possible through elections. From that, inclusive leadership selection is possible. The post of president is also selected from the election.

He mentioned that the issues raised in the previous standing committee meeting will be presented in the upcoming convention and said that the problem of leadership transformation and ideas should be resolved. It is possible to go to the convention after party unity. After the campaign, we have to go to the convention. The main problem is the idea,' he said, 'the party cannot be formed until ideologically progressive and leadership is transformed.'

President Dahal welcomed the political report saying that it included the socialist model he had raised. It is said that some things will be resolved in the convention. I want to welcome,' he said .

He claimed that he did not have a written vote in terms of bargaining for the position. I made a proposal in writing considering the duty to put it in front of the leadership, parents and the party. These offers are not for bargaining. After a debate, it should play a role in reaching a conclusion,' he added .

He also demanded the formation of an independent commission to investigate the assets of the leaders.
