Dhruv Kumar Sivakoti, the former mayor of Birtamod municipality and UML leader, was sent to jail on Monday on the charge of child molestation. The bench of Jhapa District Court Judge Naveen Kumar Joshi has ordered to send him to prison for preliminary investigation.
Sivakoti was arrested by the police on November 24 on the charge of forcing a 16-year-old domestic worker. After his arrest, he was admitted to B&C Hospital.
