Helicopters have been opened for flying, landing and hovering in the Everest National Park area so as not to disturb or affect the forests, wildlife and biological diversity. Susma Rana, senior conservation officer of the park, has written a letter to 11 helicopter companies on Monday evening, requesting all the companies to take off, land and hover helicopters in the Everest region, paying the revenue stipulated by the law.

Prior to the park's decision, on November 22, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality also decided to ban commercial flights in the protected area from January 17 (January 1, 2025). The member companies of the Air Service Operators Association have said that the obstacles placed on the helipad should be removed, and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Village should also send a letter that the obstacles in the helicopter flight have been removed. Jagat Prasad Bhusal, the chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, said that since the announcement of the park came late on Monday evening, the executive meeting will decide on it on Tuesday. The park had decided on the ban on helicopter flights. The statement was received late on Monday. By this time, everyone had left.
