Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli has said that due to the opportunism, unstable thinking, pomp and showmanship of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, a binding equation has been formed between the two big parties.

He has also commented that their honest efforts to instill political stability, good governance and development and hope-trust among the people have not been successful because of this.

Presenting a 47-page long report at the UML's eighth central committee meeting on Sunday, President Oli said that after no party won a majority in the 2079 elections, he tried to align with the Congress for political stability, but after failing to do so, he chose a forced option to match with the Maoists. He has mentioned in the report that even though there was suspicion, he generously supported the Maoists for the second time last February, but after being betrayed, he had to cooperate with the Congress. The UML-Maoist alliance formed on January 10, 1979 collapsed within two months. After that, the Congress-Maoist alliance broke up on February 21, 2008 and the UML-Maoist equation was formed again.

Oli has mentioned in the report that he got information from the Congress leaders about the then Prime Minister Dahal's proposal to the Congress to participate in the government in the name of 'National Consensus Government' during the UML-Maoist coalition government.

"Congress leaders rejected it and informed UML about Prachanda's psychology, tactics and actions," the report said.

Congress and UML agreed on power cooperation on June 17, according to the same agreement UML President Oli became the Prime Minister on June 30. Soon after leaving the government, the leaders of Maoist and RSVP responded by saying, "Congress and UML got together overnight after they started opening big corruption files." Oli has given a long reply to this. He wrote in the report, "In a democracy, the job of the government or the ruling parties is not to open or close corruption files as they see fit." To promote good governance. The very expression that he is about to open a big corruption file is malicious.'

Oli has claimed that he was able to convey the message of political stability within six months of the start of the new political course. Oli stated that work is also being done on economic reform, revenue enhancement, investment pattern determination and double tax system reform, public expenditure management and ministerial priorities.

Oli has also admitted that the attraction towards the party has not increased in Saharia public opinion. "We should take seriously the fact that only one of the wards won in the by-election won in the past, the expected results were not achieved in a place like Kirtipur, and the expected attraction in Saharia public opinion was not increased," the report states.
