The discussion of constitutional amendment has brought the Madhesh parties closer. After the two big parties Congress and UML advanced the discussion of constitutional amendment, the Madhesh parties suspected that the achievements gained from previous movements would be lost. That doubt not only brought them to the same platform, but also inspired them to move towards collaboration.

The leaders of the Madhesh party, which were divided into pieces, appeared on the same stage on Tuesday. All of them were afraid of losing the achievements achieved by the possible amendment of the constitution. For that, once again, all the leaders have expressed their feelings that there is a compelling situation of unity, cooperation or blockade.

In the program organized by Madheshi Ekta Samaj, the leaders said that the big parties want to cover the opportunity of the parties in favor of inclusion being divided and weak. The Madhesh leaders have expressed their suspicion that the two major parties are going to remove the system of proportional inclusive representation by amending the electoral system.  They are under psychological pressure to take the possible challenge of constitutional amendment as an opportunity.

President of National Liberation Party of Nepal Rajendra Mahato expressed his suspicion that 2072 three leaders of three parties came together to bring a racist constitution and the proposed amendment will be more racist. He said that in order to stop it, there is no alternative but to unite forces including Madhesi, tribals and tribes.

President of Janata Pragatisheel Party Hridayash Tripathi proposed a 'loose alliance' between the Madhesh parties. "We tried to unite many times, but nothing was successful. The parties were divided due to opportunistic character," he said. "Let's not talk about unity anymore. But let's cooperate to face the challenges that have come before us. He mentioned that an anti-democratic action is being taken by amending the constitution to lead to a two-party system. He emphasized that everyone should come together to face that challenge.

Janata Samajwadi Party Vice President Rajkishore Yadav said that it is becoming a necessity to come together. He said that his party is ready for that. Anil Jha, the leader of the Democratic Socialist Party, also said that if the Madhesi power is not united, there is a danger of losing the achievements that have been achieved, and that his party is always moving towards it.

Sharadsingh Yadav, the leader and spokesman of the Janmat Party, said that since the amendment of the constitution is seen to be against Madhesh, cooperation is necessary to stop it.

General Secretary of Janata Samajwadi Party Istiyak Rai said that now is not the time to blame each other and emphasized that parties should come together in view of the issue. Amresh Kumar Singh, an independent member of the House of Representatives, said that Madhesh, which has been divided, cannot defend its achievements, saying that sacrifice and integrity have been lost in Madhesh politics. He criticized the Madhesh party. He said that the Madhesh parties have ended Madheshism in familyism and authoritarianism. Civil society representatives also emphasized the inevitability of cooperation between Madhesi parties in the program.
