Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has announced that he will make Maoist the first party in the country from the upcoming elections and root out corruption.

Dahal made such an announcement while addressing a vigilance meeting held on Monday in Gauriganj Rural Municipality of Southern Jhapa, where the border will be connected with India.

Dahal claimed that his party will be the first in the 2084 elections.  He presented the example of Maoist becoming the first party in Koshi province in the last by-election and said that now Maoist is in a position to contest elections alone and there is no need to join forces with Congress or UML.

Dahal claimed that the Maoist center has launched the anti-corruption campaign as a national campaign and if the people are supported in this campaign, it is possible to build a corruption-free Nepal.

'Now I have no other option but to build a corruption-free country, empower the neglected and oppressed people and change the standard of living of the people through economic prosperity,' said Dahal, 'If you (the people) join me, the country will be corruption-free by driving out brokers, middlemen and corrupt people. Making a country is possible and will be made.'
