Monkeypox (mpox) has been confirmed in another Nepali who returned from Saudi Arabia. According to a public health laboratory source, the 44-year-old man was confirmed to have MPX in the PCR test conducted on Sunday at the National Public Health Laboratory after the suspicion of MPX.

After the confirmation of MPox, the man was kept in isolation at Shahid Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Disease Hospital and treatment was started. Even earlier, MPox was seen in one person who had returned from Sain. His health condition has improved in Tekumai.

The hospital is preparing to discharge in a few days. This is the third time MPox has been seen in Nepal.
