Home Minister Ramesh Lakhtar has directed Inspector General of Police Vasant Kunwar and Chief of Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police Deepak Thapa to seriously investigate the case of Shera Darbar and Shera Darbar of Nuwakota taking 164 ropani land in the name of individuals.
After the news was published in Kantipur Daily on Sunday, the Home Minister called Inspector General of Police Kunwar and AIG Thapa to inquire about the land of Shera Darbar.
According to the Home Minister's Secretariat, those found guilty by the investigation have also been instructed to bring legal action. "Regarding the ongoing investigation by the CIB regarding the issue of Shera Darbar in Nuwakota, the Home Minister has instructed CIB Chief AIG Deepak Thapa and Police Chief Basanta Bahadur Kunwar to investigate the matter seriously." The Home Minister's Secretariat said, 'They have also instructed to investigate the truth of the case and bring the culprits to justice. For that, the Home Minister has given instructions to speed up the investigation process and bring the matter to an end.'
CIB has written to the government and authorities for action after it was found that the 164 ropani land of the palace built in Sherabansi, Nuwakot during the time of Prithvi Narayan Shah was registered in the name of a private company.
Shera Darbar located in Vidur Municipality-2 of Nuwakot and out of the 184 ropani 4 annas 1 paisa discussed by it, 164 ropani 13 annas 2 daam land is embezzled, so the CIB has written to the government to bring it under the name of the government . Similarly, a letter has also been written to the authority to take action against the group that illegally transfers public land to the company.
