On Wednesday, UML took action against three leaders who disagreed with the decision to build the party headquarters with the donation of a controversial businessman. UML secretariat meeting took action against former vice-president Bhim Rawal by not even being an organized member.

Standing committee member Vinda Pandey and central member Ushakiran Timsena have been suspended from their duties for 6 months. After the

party took action against the leaders, comments are being made from different angles. Some leaders of UML have said that action was taken because Rawal, Pandey and Timsena had different opinions. Meanwhile, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that they have been punished because they did not follow party discipline. He has posted on the social network Facebook saying the opinion of 'AI' about party discipline. Some people have reacted to this by asking the question of 'what happens when the party runs in a dictatorial style' .

Vimala Rai Paudyal, who became the foreign minister from UML, has responded that it was a wrong move to prosecute Pandey and Timsena. She has written on X, 'This is Rang, it's wrong . Binda Pandey is the name of the honest pillar of CPN-UML. Ushakiran, a soldier of the party since childhood. You should not be prosecuted when you share your thoughts in the open.'
