On Wednesday, UML took action against three leaders who disagreed with the decision to build the party headquarters with the donation of a controversial businessman. UML secretariat meeting took action against former vice-president Bhim Rawal by not even being an organized member.

Standing committee member Vinda Pandey and central member Ushakiran Timsena have been suspended from their duties for 6 months.

UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali said that they were released from responsibility because they did not feel that they had gone against the party rules. The public comment process regarding the construction of the central office building did not seem to be in accordance with the process. It was not seen that it was not appropriate to go outside the law and speak in public,' he said, 'Comrade Vinda Pandey and Ushakiran Timsena have been decided to be released from their responsibilities for 6 months.' Gyawali said that it was decided to release the organized members because of the expression. Gyawali said that although Rawal, who ran for the presidency in the 10th Congress, was an advisor according to the legal system, he did not act accordingly.

Former Vice President Rawal, Standing Committee Member Pandey and Central Member Timsena protested after controversial businessman Meen Bahadur Gurung donated land and Gurung would build the UML headquarters on it. UML president KP Sharma Oli and Gurung couple laid the foundation stone of the party headquarters building in Kirtipur-2 Maitrinagar on October 25.

After Rawal, Pandey and Timsena criticized it publicly, UML asked for an explanation saying that they had expressed against the party's decision. Pandey and Timsena explained that it would be wrong to build it with donations when the party had already decided to build the central office itself. Rawal did not explain.

After the decision of action, Rawal reacted by calling it autocratic, arbitrariness and dictatorial tendencies of President Oli. He said, "This is suppression of the voices raised in favor of the country, the people and the constitution of Nepal. This action has been taken to make other honest leaders-activists miserable." This action is inspired by Oli's party and government.'

Pandey, a suspended standing committee member, said that it is wrong to create a party office from donations. She said that she was punished because she reminded the previous party decision that the work that had already been laid should not be delayed.

It was decided to form the party office itself from the convention representative council and politburo meeting. An annual action plan was made to collect 100 rupees from each member. I had mentioned this issue," she said, "the circular for raising funds for the construction of the party office had not even reached the floor, an emergency meeting was called and the name of Danveer was not revealed, and the decision was made without informing the officials. That was wrong. Pandey says that after the

explanation, the secretariat member took action against him without even having a direct conversation. The question of good governance and law has been raised in the party. They talked about achieving superiority by competing with the people's multi-party democracy," she said. I don't know if this was done through democratic method or not.'

Pandey questioned who will be benefited by the action taken by following the democratic method and speaking against the wrongdoing. "Whose interest is there in opposing the wrongful act of building a central office out of donations?" He said, "If this decision strengthens the UML, I wish you luck. I want the interests of UML to be in the best interests of the UML. She also suspected that she would be prosecuted for 6 months on the basis of her further statements in the

media. Pandey said that she will spend the next 6 months in a creative way.

Leaders who fought against the Panchayat are in the leadership. If the leadership that fought against the panchayat had not imitated the panchayat, she said,  This is a work that does not suit the republican system. Political science professor Krishna Pokharel said.

There is no situation in UML to question Oli's decision. If you raise questions, you will have to take action," he said. A few days ago, Deputy General Secretary Gyawali said that he was open to practicing democratic centralism within the party. "It is possible to hold and discuss different opinions depending on the methods of the party organization," he said.

'Action was taken to harass honest leaders-activists'

How do you see the action taken by UML?

After I became a candidate for president in the 10th Congress of UML, I was trying to suppress my voice. Under the same series, those who suppressed the voices raised in favor of the country, people and party were asked for an explanation on October 4. I did not think it proper to reply to the purported explanation asked in an autocratic manner. This action is done by KP Oli to impose dictatorship on the government and the party. This is KP Oli's autocratic, arbitrary and dictatorial tendencies. It is a step to suppress the voices raised in favor of the country, the people and the constitution. This action has been taken to punish honest leaders and workers.

You are said to have been prosecuted for harming the party and the leadership?

I raised my voice in favor of the country, the people and the constitution since the past. He said that the Communist Party should be directed by the people. From the past, KP Oli's style was against the policy of the Communist Party. His actions were not unpatriotic. This action will not change my stance towards the country and the people. I still believe that honest workers of UML will support and support me by standing for justice and equality.

What will be your political path now?

Nothing is immediately thought of. The flag of self-respect that I have raised for five decades will not be allowed to bend. Respecting everyone's suggestions, advice and opinions, my steps will move forward.
