UML has claimed that there is no political resistance in the investigation into cooperative fraud.
UML's statement came when the opposition parties, Maoist Center, National Independent Party, accused of political resistance in the investigation of the co-operative fraud in the meeting of the Central Secretariat on Wednesday.
'The fact that there is no political bias in cooperative fraud has been refuted by the developments. After confirming the facts, the investigation has proceeded," Deputy Secretary General Pradeep Gyawali said after the secretariat meeting, "in cooperative fraud The meeting has requested that an ordinance be issued soon to form a competent authority according to the recommendations given by the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee. The Council of Ministers has already decided to bring an ordinance.
Gyawali said that people from the ruling party have also come under the scope of investigation in cooperative fraud. Ravi Lamichhane, president of RSVP, is in police custody during the investigation into cooperative fraud.
The opposition has been alleging that Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung and others who were involved in cooperative fraud were not brought under investigation.
