Due to the influence of western wind, the weather has changed and become cold in most parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley. Pratibha Manandhar, a senior meteorologist of the Water and Weather Forecasting Division, informed that due to the western low pressure air, the entire country, including Kathmandu Valley, has become colder since Monday.

"There has been a change in the weather since yesterday (Monday) due to the arrival of the western low pressure system," she said She said that the valley felt cold because the temperature increased and the maximum temperature decreased. She adds, "It is raining and it has reached Bagmati province. There is a situation of sporadic rains in the central part of Nepal in the east.'

The western wind system is likely to bring rain and snow till afternoon on Tuesday and Wednesday, and although the weather will improve a little in the evening, there is little chance of sunshine this week.
