The Samajwadi Front, which was used by the Maoist chairman and then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal as a weapon to maintain power, has become inactive. After reaching the Maoist, unified socialist opposition, its activities are almost at a standstill.

In June 2080, Dahal declared a front to sustain the coalition government with the Congress. Maoists, CPN United Socialists, Janata Samajwadi Nepal and the Communist Party of Nepal, which is outside the parliament, formed a front, but its internal power would be maintained. The Nepal Samajwadi Party, which separated from Baburam Bhattarai last time in the

front, also participated and became a five-party front. But for the last three months, the meeting of the front has not been held. After the party split, Jaspa has left the Nepal Morcha.

After the Congress and UML coalition government was formed last June, the activities of the Morcha have been mostly stopped . The leaders say that the front could not proceed due to the disinterest of the Maoist Center Chairman Dahal. With the main objective of 'Building the basis of socialism with Nepali characteristics', a draft report has been made with the procedures for forming the front at the central, provincial, district and local levels. The report of the working group of leaders of four parties is pending. Leaders associated with the front have said that Dahal has not shown the will to activate the front after the Maoists left the central government.

Prachandaji promoted the Samajwadi Morcha as a weapon of power while in the government. He said that even if there is a front now, he will form a party in the future. Now they don't want to take the name of Morcha," said one of the leaders of Morcha-related parties, "The Morcha was formed with the aim of building socialist power in Nepal. But Prachandaji's jangar has not been seen recently.' CPN General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand, who is the coordinator of the

front, has decided to activate the front at the Central Committee meeting that ended this week. Chand has asked Dahal, United Socialist President Madhav Kumar Nepal to activate the front.

The General Secretary of the Maoist Center, Dev Gurung, said that the parties in the front were busy with their own party work and could not be active. Although all the parties in the front agreed to hold the program, they said that it was not possible due to their respective arrangements. All the programs of their respective parties in the front are being held . We have not been able to get together in one place and give advice," he said,  "There is no disagreement to make socialist activists". Although the procedure of the front has been prepared, it has not been finalized. He said that the Maoist Center, United Socialist Party and CPN have decided to advance the front, so they will proceed according to the need. "It will be active again to prepare the basis of socialism in Nepal," he said.

CPN Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma said that the Maoist Center, the largest party of the front, has not shown any activity, so its activities have been relaxed . He said that due to the split of the Janata Samajwadi Party and then the Maoist Center's lack of interest, the work of the Front has come to a standstill. "After the problem arose between the parties participating in the coalition government, it affected cooperation and coordination". If there had been a proper discussion, there would have been no reason for Upendraji to leave,' he said, 'Maoist center is responsible for the weakening of the front.' "We advance the front". It is to make it active and effective," he said,  "The socialist front is the current objective and situation and national need."

If unity is not immediately possible, the CPN has also decided to authorize the policy of blocking the front. "Unifying in such a way as to support the development of ideas, to build new bases and to advance the revolution," said the decision of the CPN, "when mentioning the front, we should emphasize the activation of the Socialist Front and the joining of other parties." Various alliances and fronts formed in the past have decided to cooperate only on the basis of political programs saying that they have used their party.

"Now it should be clear that there will be no alliance other than cooperation, front or unity based on a unified socialist concrete political program," the report passed by the Standing Committee said, "generally confused trends have been seen". Only a clear political action plan of party building can solve this. If we do not unite the party ranks through open discussion, the party cannot gain momentum.

Vice President Beduram Bhusal said that the affiliated parties have the opinion to activate Samajwadi Morcha. It is our opinion that the socialist front should be activated. Currently, there are no front activities as the parties are busy with their work, he said,  "We started the convention and then the organization". Maoist also started with his own plan . We are busy with the by-elections at the local level.' Maoist, CPN-S said that the front seemed to be inactive as the parties were busy with internal activities after reaching the opposition. We were in the government. As soon as the front was formed, a nationwide gathering was also held. Preparations were made to run a campaign at the center, state, and district levels. But now it has been postponed,'' he said.

Ganganarayan Shrestha, a member of the working group formed to prepare the political document of the front and the leader of the Nepal Samajwadi Party, said that the draft document has not been finalized. The political document of the front is almost ready. The indifference of the leaders of the political parties affiliated to the Morcha was seen,'' he said. It was to build a socialist pole and create a basis for unity with those who share ideas. Now it is completely sold.'

After Maoist, CPN-S and Jaspa formed the front of Nepal with 54 seats in the House of Representatives, the policy was to put pressure on the Congress in the coalition. These three parties in the alliance and the CPN, which is outside the parliament, had adopted a policy of putting pressure on the streets. During the coalition government with the Congress and Maoists, the front was formed on the initiative of Dahal. The meetings held in the seven provinces were addressed by the leaders of Maoist Center Chairman Dahal, United Socialists Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, CPN General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand. At that time, they claimed to have formed a front to prepare the basis of the socialist revolution.
