UML Secretary and MP Yogesh Bhattarai, who is leading the government, has said that there should be a comprehensive discussion on who has committed corruption and irregularities.
In Monday's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives, MP Bhattarai said that the issues of corruption that arise frequently should be discussed in the parliamentary committee and decided.
Committee Chairman Rishikesh Pokharel's wife Anjala Koirala has been issued an arrest warrant by District Court Morang for cooperative fraud. Koirala is absconding. However, Bhattarai said that Chairman Pokharel would not keep his wife hidden. "There was no talk of the chairman covering up and hiding his family." I don't think the chairman will do that after being a representative of UML, an honest member and a parliamentarian,' Bhattarai said, 'His wife will definitely go to appear in court . He will acquit himself in court. Not walking outside screaming and shouting like others. It is believed that he will go to the judicial decision-making body.'
Bhattarai also said that the Maoists' demand that the chairman of the audit committee should be from the opposition party is not correct. In the past, Bhattarai said that it was not justified to raise the issue as the parliament officials were elected by consensus.
