Foreign Minister Arju Rana has urged Indian investors to expand investment in Nepal.
Recalling that India has the largest number of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Nepal, she requested for further investment expansion.
On Friday, at the Nepal India Economic Conference jointly organized by Kathmandu University and Indian Policy Commission in New Delhi, Foreign Minister Rana urged investors to expand investment as there is now political stability in Nepal and improvements in the investment-friendly environment.
Noting that Nepal has liberalized its policy for foreign investment, Minister Deuba invited Indian entrepreneurs to invest in energy production, infrastructure development, agriculture, tourism, and information technology. I want to give assurance.''
She informed that Nepal has received a 'BB minus' rating for attracting foreign investment and has implemented encouraging policies for domestic and foreign investment. "I want to invite private sector investors to invest in Nepal," she added.
He emphasized that Nepal-India relations should be strengthened not only economically but also socially and culturally. He said that Nepal-India relations should be developed as an exemplary concept for regional cooperation in South Asia.
