Nepali Congress senior leader Shekhar Koirala, who started meeting and gathering of his group from Koshi province, reached Dhangadhi on Friday and is holding discussions and meetings with the leaders of his supporters from all the nine districts of Far West throughout the day.
Purna Kunwar, the leader of Koirala supporter Kailali, said that Koirala, who is meeting the leaders and workers from the district in turn, is indicating to the workers that he will run for the chairmanship and instructing the workers to get ready for the 15th Congress.
Senior leader Koirala, who arrived in Dhangadhi on the occasion of the first session of the Nepal Democratic Fighters Association of Far West, to be held on Saturday, is meeting the activists from all the nine districts on Friday. Leaders Sunil Sharma, Sanjay Gautam, Hridayram Thani and others have also come to Dhangadhi along with Koirala.
Koirala partisan leader and former member of Sudurpaschim Pradesh Sabha Bharat Bahadur Khadka said that district and local level workers have been invited to the program. "Preparation for the convention itself is a targeted program and meeting. There is nothing to hide," leader Khadka said. "Everyone has been invited to the program organized on Saturday. I don't know who will come. In the meeting on Friday, only the leaders supported by his group are participating in the meeting.
Senior leader Koirala has said that there is no immediate alternative to the current government of the Congress-UML alliance. Similarly, he also responded that he has no disagreement with Chief Minister Thapa.
