The CPN-Maoist Center Koshi Parliamentary Party has said that the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the Federal Parliament, Rishikesh Pokharel, should resign, saying that the Umagouri Cooperative Society fraud case of Kursia, Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality of Morang, needs an impartial investigation.

The leader of the parliamentary party, Indra Bahadur Angbo, held a press conference in Biratnagar on Thursday. Angbo claimed that the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the Federal Parliament, Pokharel, was directly involved in the co-operative fraud and that the fraud investigation was affected because he was in power. He said, "Pokhrel has no choice but to resign for a fair investigation."

The wife of the head of the agency that keeps the government in financial discipline is involved in cooperative fraud  Claiming that the matter is not normal, Angbo added, "This is a serious matter." Pokharel should resign immediately and help in the investigation.' A case has been filed in Morang District Court. 25 people including Anjala are absconding. It has also been alleged that Anjala was driven away with the connivance of the police. Pokhre, who expressed that he was ready to be hanged if he was found involved in cooperative fraud, remained silent after the arrest warrant was issued for his wife.
