Looking for a way to support the technology sector in Nepal

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has said that it is willing to help in the technology sector in Nepal. JICA, the implementing agency of Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA), has said that it is looking for ways to support new areas in Nepal.

Kenichiro Izuka, senior representative of JICA, said that Japan is willing to cooperate in new areas in Nepal. "We are willing to help in new areas in Nepal," he said during the press conference, "such as; We are looking at e-sports, educational technology, agricultural technology, climate change, carbon problem and other issues that can be worked in Nepal.' 

Diplomatic relations were established between Nepal and Japan in 1956. He said that since the establishment of relations, Japan has been working through JICA for the sustainable and equitable economic development of Nepal. "JICA is working in the fields of infrastructure, education and agriculture in Nepal," he said.

He said that JICA is working in the field of Nepal's infrastructure development and directly related to people's life.
