It has also been found that Lamichhane transferred funds from the foundation opened in his own name to his wife Nikita's account. On Wednesday, Kantipur has published a bank statement confirming that 40 lakhs was transferred at least twice from the foundation's account in Prime Bank to Nikita's personal account in Siddharth Bank.
City chief Dharmaraj Shahi said that after the question of irregularities in the construction of the hospital was raised, a letter was sent asking for details of the expenses, but he did not get a reply. The municipality has contributed 30 lakhs to the construction of the hospital, the Karnali government has also given 32 lakhs.
