Tribhuvan University General Assembly has passed a 12-point policy for the financial year 2081/082 on Thursday. The policy was passed in a meeting held in the presence of Prime Minister and Vice-Chancellor KP Sharma Oli, Education Minister and Vice-Chancellor Vidya Bhattarai.
Vice Chancellor Kesharjung Baral presented the policy in the assembly. Rector Khadge KC said that the policy was passed after a discussion among the members of the assembly. The university passed the budget in the assembly meeting last July and passed the policy in a separate assembly meeting. There was criticism that the budget was passed without a policy on the direction of the Chancellor.
