The Kaski District Court has granted permission to remand Ravi Lamichhane for 5 more days in the case of cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering.
Information officer Suraj Adhikari informed that on Thursday, the bench of Judge Chandrakant Paudyal also extended the term of arrest for the same offence, former director of Gorkha Media Network and former DIG Chabilal Joshi, Leela Pachai, Ram Bahadur Khanal and Krishna Bahadur Gurung. During the
investigation, Lamichhane was taken to Rupandehi, Kathmandu, Chitwan and Parsa to take a statement. Lamichhane has been kept in the custody of District Police Office Kaski. He was arrested from Kathmandu on October 2.
Police are preparing to take the charge sheet next time as there are 9 days left for the investigation.
