The meeting of the State Order and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives was called for 12:15 pm on Thursday. The meeting held on Wednesday decided the time of today's meeting. The State Arrangements Committee is discussing with the parliamentarians who have made amendments to the bill to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of service of the federal civil service.
On Thursday, the meeting of the committee started after 12:15. However, the MPs were only informed at 10:30 in the morning to attend the meeting. MPs said that they were informed about the meeting only 2 hours before through SMS.
Independent MP Amresh Kumar Singh, Maoist MPs Madhav Prasad Sapkota, Sushila Sripaili and others objected that the information was sent through SMS without giving even 2 hours to the committee meeting. He left the meeting saying that he did not get time to prepare more on the subject of the amendment, asking to provide time the next day.
'After reading this message, I fell into a big religious crisis. Going to the meeting has not been prepared, not going to the public opinion about the MPs is not good. Therefore, if I come here with the conclusion, I will go to the committee and tell the committee through the chairman that the discussion was not managed and I will not participate," Sapkota said, "You should have given time at least 1 night. I have registered the amendment in 24 points, laughter cannot be overcome by jokes.' Sapkota said that when questions are being raised about the
bill in public, it is impossible to work actively by sending a message to the amending MPs at 10:30 for a 12:00 meeting. He asked to make arrangements to participate in the discussion with preparation in the next meeting. Chairman of the
committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, said that it was decided to call the MPs on Wednesday itself. The Secretariat of the Committee has informed that 90 amendment MPs have been invited to the Thursday meeting of the Public Order and Good Governance Committee.
