A case has been registered in the Kathmandu District Court against the controversial medical practitioner Durga Prasai. The Kathmandu District Public Prosecutor's Office has registered a case against Prasai for cyber crime. He has been asked to be imprisoned for 7 and a half years.
Attorney Khadindraraj Katuwal of District Public Prosecutor's Office Kathmandu prosecuted the case.
'A case has been registered against Prasai in electronic transactions . Since the case has been started even before this, the case has been registered according to the provision of double punishment than the legal provision. According to that arrangement, 7 and a half years imprisonment has been demanded,' said Katuwal.

Prasai's detention hearing will be held on Thursday. Organized crime against Prasai is also being investigated.
