The meeting of the Congress Central Executive Committee held today decided to nominate Thapa for the vacant post of Vimala Gauchan, who was elected as a member of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly on behalf of the party in the 2079 provincial assembly election.
Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that the meeting approved the nomination of central member Umesh Shrestha as the central treasurer post by party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba according to the statute.
