Five candidates have been registered for the post of president for the election of Federation of Nepalese Journalists. According to the election committee, Nirmala Sharma, Ramesh Bishta, Kamal Giri, Devi Prasad Sapkota and Lal Singh (LS) Lama have been nominated for the post of president.
Similarly, Deepak Acharya, Damodar Prasad Dawadi, Govind Prasad Choulagain and Roshan Puri have been nominated for the position of Senior Vice President. Neetu Pandit and Ganga Paudel (Baral) have been nominated for women's vice president, and Umid Prasad Bagchand, Mohan Kumar Singh and Subhas Prasad Sah have been nominated for inclusive vice president.
There have been four nominations for the General Secretary of the federation namely Ram Prasad Dahal, Prakash Thapa, Lekhnath Neupane and Janmdev. Similarly, there are seven candidates for open secretary, three for women's secretary, three for tribal tribe secretary, three for Madhesi secretary, four for Dalit secretary, three for associate secretary and three for treasurer, said the coordinator of the election committee, Chiranjeevi Khanal. It is mentioned in the revised election schedule published by the committee that the claim can be protested until 11 am on Saturday morning about
candidates. Federation elections will be held on November 28th.
