A demonstration was held in front of the District Police Office Chitwan while the statement of the chairman of the National Independent Party and former Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane was being made in the co-operative fraud charge.

On Wednesday, the police fired water cannons and tear gas at the demonstration in support of Lamichhane. While the police were taking a statement from Lamichhane, the leaders, workers and supporters of RSVP protested at Bharatpur Hospital Road. 

In the demonstration in support of Lamichhane, the participants chanted slogans including 'Release Ravi Dai'. 

When the protesters reached the district police office, the police threw water cannons. He also threw tear gas after the protesters did not stop moving forward.
