The Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center Varshman Pun has said that the local level by-elections have confirmed that public opinion has increased in favor of the Maoist Center. Pun says that the propaganda that the Maoist center has survived sometimes with the Congress and sometimes with the UML has also been dismissed.

Addressing the party's program held in Rolpa on Tuesday, Deputy Secretary General Pun said that the people have approved Maoist as a party that carries different ideas, policies and tendencies of the people. He also said that people rejected the rumors spread by Congress and UML saying that Maoists can go to the election competition alone. "There was an attempt to establish a false comment that we cannot go to the elections alone without coordinating with anyone," he said. The people have answered it from the results of the by-elections. We have shown our public opinion.

In the last few elections, the Congress and the UML took the votes of the Maoists but did not vote for the Maoists. Pun also claimed that the public opinion of Congress and UML has decreased and the public opinion of Maoists has increased. Apart from the 11 seats won, he said that the Maoists' public opinion has also increased as the Maoists came second in many places.  Pun also said that the result of the election will take the current system from a multi-party system to a two-party system and the ambitions of Congress and UML to rule the people in turn will be a blow. He said, "Now that is not possible, there is a multi-party competition instead of a two-party one". You can't go without Maoists.'

President Pushpa Kamal Dahal's previous government worked against corruption, corruption, middlemanship and state exploitation, Pun also said that people's attraction towards Maoists has increased.

Stating that Maoist's focus is not on government formation, Pun urged Congress and UML to run the government together till 2084. Pun said that the leaders of UML and Congress are now playing the game of overthrowing the Maoist party government to increase their importance.
