Bharat Ghimire of CPN-Maoist Center has won the by-election of Belka Municipality Ward No. 9 of Udaipur. According to the Election Commission, Ghimire won with 559 votes.
UML's Mohan Khadka was second with 525 votes, while Congress' Navraj Basnet got 444 votes. Similarly, Rajkumar Rai of Janata Samajwadi Party got 207 votes. While Tejman Biswakarma of Rashtriya Swatantra Party got 123 votes, Tika Prasad Phuyal of RPP got 27 Vote. Sure Tamang, the candidate of Mongolian National Organization, got only 5 votes.
