Krishnaman Dangol of the Nepali Congress has maintained his lead as the head of Kirtipur municipality.

In the ongoing counting of the by-elections held on Sunday, while Dangol got 789 votes, CPN-UML's Surendra Manandhar is trailing with 666 votes.

CPN Maoist Center's Shivsharan Maharjan got 465 votes, independent candidates Rajman Maharjan 418, Dinesh Kumar Adhikari 236, Kavikumar Maharjan 58, RPP's Dhrub Maharjan 119, CPN United Socialist Bhanu Rizal got 22 votes.
