The candidate of the Maoist Center was elected unopposed as the chairman of Putha Uttarganga rural municipality ward number 2 of Rukum East. Jagat Gharti, the candidate of the Maoist Center, was elected unopposed after the UML candidate Jeevan Roka, who was nominated by the ruling UML-Congress alliance, and the independent candidate withdrew their names.

Roka, who withdrew his candidacy from the ward chairman, said that he lost the election symbol after the party leader became a candidate during the alliance.
