Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that the current government was not formed to make only two/four ministers. He said that the current government was formed for stability and good governance in the country and it is working accordingly.
"The current government was not formed just to appoint two or four people as ministers," the minister said at a meeting organized by the Congress in Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur district on Wednesday.
He claimed that the vote of confidence should be taken in three months, preparations for the formation of the next government before the Prime Minister takes the oath, etc. are the current equation for ending the instability.
He said that this type of instability has also affected areas such as development, construction, good governance and peace and security. He said that good governance and security are the main priorities of the current government.
He said that anti-democratic activities have increased in recent times and the only alternative to democracy is democracy.
'Democracy is a system of discipline, people are a system of service delivery,' he said, 'you can speak your mind, you can protest, you can criticize, but in the name of this, you can't do anarchy and kill someone's character.' He said that criticism and opposition should be restrained and dignified. He said that no one is allowed to weaken the federal democratic republican system. He said that the Congress will unite all the parties and strengthen the current system. He said that everyone should play a role in their respective fields to weaken the aversion towards democracy.
The minister, writer has come to the home state to participate in the state level security conference.
