The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has published the progress report of 100 days. Minister Nawalkishore Sah Sudi announced the major works and achievements achieved during the period of 100 days after assuming office.
The work progress from June 31 to October 6 was announced at the press conference held at the ministry on Sunday.
While giving information about the work progress of the ministry, Minister Sah Sudi also said that the protection of women, children, disabled people and senior citizens has been given special priority during damage caused by rain, floods and disasters.
It is mentioned in the progress report that 1,165 first-stage psychosocial counseling services were provided to 1,165 people, 1,325 women, 939 girls and 189 children were provided with emergency services.
The ministry also claimed that 48 pregnant and delivery women whose lives were at risk in remote areas were rescued by air and 1,559 of the 1,884 missing children were found and reunited with their families. It is mentioned in the progress report that Mangala Sahna long-term rehabilitation home to be built through the Women's Empowerment Project is being prepared to build a rehabilitation center for shelter and services for victims of gender violence at a cost of 300 million. Similarly, the Ministry has also informed that the accessible testing of the physical structure of five federal ministries has started to make public services disability-friendly.
