Two complaints have been filed in the parliamentary hearing committee against Nripadhwaj Niraula, the Supreme Court judge. According to the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament, by the time limit for calling for public complaints, only one of the two judges recommended for the Supreme Court has filed a complaint against Niraula.
Nripadhwaj Niraula and Nityananda Pandey were recommended by the Justice Council as judges of the Supreme Court .
The parliamentary hearing committee called for public information and complaints against both on October 15. The 10-day time limit for public notices and complaints has expired on Tuesday.
An official of the secretariat of the committee said about the complaint, 'The time for public notice and complaint calling against both of them has ended today . Two complaints have been filed against Niraula and no complaint has been filed against Pandey for calling for public notices and complaints against Nripadhwaj Niraula and Nityanand Pandey, who were recommended as judges of the Supreme Court.'
Supreme Court Judge Recommendation Niraula is working as the Chief Justice of Patan High Court while Pandey is the Chief Justice of Tulsipur High Court.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee Secretariat has informed that a complaint has been filed in connection with the decisions made by Niraula in the past. "He has filed a complaint citing past decisions and some other things," said the committee's secretariat.
The trial committee meeting will discuss with the complainant after the time for giving public notice and complaint against the recommended person to the judge . After that, the recommended person will be called to the committee and asked to present their experience and action plan and will ask questions about the complaint.
According to the secretariat of the hearing committee, the trial of both the recommended judges will be held before Tihar .
The October 11 meeting of the Justice Council had recommended Niraula and Pandey as judges of the Supreme Court.
