Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the Mechi Mahakali National Rescue Yatra 2081 on Saturday, run by Manav Seva Ashram with the goal of building a nation free of human beings.
In a program held at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli congratulated the campaign and expressed his commitment that he would be ready to help in any way if there were any problems during this kind of journey, as humanity is the highest religion. He asked to carry the feeling of humanity first, then country.
First Lady Radhika Shakya, former Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, singer Ani Choing Dolma also participated in the event.
President of the Ashram Ramji Adhikari informed that the journey was started with the aim of ensuring that no one should live as an orphan. The journey will be conducted till 28th Kartik.
