The number of deaths due to floods, landslides and drowning after the last monsoon disaster has reached 219.
According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, the death toll from the latest disaster in 22 districts including Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in the valley has reached 219 by Tuesday afternoon. According to the police head office, Kavre, Lalitpur and Dhading suffered the most human losses due to the disaster. 65 people died in Kavre, 40 in Lalitpur and 39 in Dhading due to floods, landslides, inundation and erosion.
17 people lost their lives in Kathmandu, 10 in Sindhupalchok, 7 in Makwanpur, 6 in Panchthar. Similarly, 5/5 people died in Bhaktapur and Solukhumbu, 3 people in Sindhuli, 2/2 people in Jhapa, Dhankuta, Mahottari, Rautahat and Rupandehi, 1 person each in Udaipur, Okhaldhunga, Saptari and Ramechhap.
In the disaster, 27 people are still missing and 156 people are injured. According to the police, 2 people are missing in Kathmandu, 10 in Lalitpur, 4 in Panchthar, 1 in Morang, 1 in Sarlahi, 1 in Parsa, 6 in Kavre and 2 in Sindhupalchowk. 12 thousand 584 people trapped in the disaster have been rescued with the help of Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police, locals and others.
There was no human loss in the districts of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces due to the disaster that occurred after the last heavy rain. Due to the loss of people's wealth in the rest of the districts, problems have also been seen in post-disaster relief and rehabilitation.
Due to the government's failure to make the necessary provisions and rescue operations effective for disaster search, rescue and management, unimaginable loss of human wealth has occurred in some places.
