With the verdict of the Supreme Court, Yuvraj Kandel, the publisher of Sidha Kura.com, and Naveen Dhungana, the executive editor, have gone to jail.

Jailer Krishna Bahadur Katuwal said that the publisher Kandel and Executive Editor Dhungana were sent to Central Jail Jagannath Dewal on Sunday after it was found that the content broadcast/published as 'Dark File' on 'Sidha Kura' dotcom was in contempt of court.

Dhungana also respected the court's decision and informed them through the social media Facebook that they are in prison.

The 9-member full bench of the Supreme Court on Sunday sentenced Rajkumar Timalsina, who made 'fake audio', to 6 months and to Kandel and Dhungana, the publisher and executive editor of the publishing/broadcasting website, 3/3 months. A fine of Rs 5,000 has been prescribed for direct communication. It is mentioned in the judgment that the penalty of 5,000 fine will be waived if Online himself apologizes. In the case of Timalsina, it has been decided that the prescribed penalty must be paid.

Chief Justice Vishwambhar Prasad Shrestha and judges Prakashman Singh Raut, Sapna Pradhan Malla, Prakash Kumar Dhungana, Hariprasad Phuyal, Nahkul Subedi, Vinod Sharma, Mahesh Sharma Paudel and Balkrishna Dhakal decided the case.

'Sidha Kura' had prepared and broadcasted and published misleading propaganda material regarding Supreme Court judges, media operators, lawyers. The Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court, Govinda Ghimire, filed a petition for contempt of court against the court saying that the action had a serious impact on the administration of justice.
