Due to incessant rains, six people have died in disaster incidents in different parts of the country so far. Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki informed that seven people were injured and seven were missing due to floods and other disasters.

 

Landslides have destroyed some houses in districts including Panchthar, Dhankuta, Kavrepalanchok and Lalitpur. Full details of the damage are yet to come.

The search for those who disappeared in the flood continues . He said that about 400 citizens have been displaced due to the latest disaster and the displaced have been transferred to a safe place. Careful work is being done in the management of the rescued citizens.

According to police spokesperson Karki, more than 150 places have had disasters including floods. Almost all highways and main roads are blocked in 28 places. Deputy Inspector General of Police Karki said that coordination is being done with all agencies to open the blocked road.

Spokesman Karki informed that the police have alerted the river corridor and all the areas where flooding is possible. "Teams of the Nepal Police have been deployed all over the country, all the attention of the police is focused on minimizing the loss of life and property caused by the disaster," he said.

There is continuous rain all over the country . The Department of Water and Meteorology has predicted continuous rain till tomorrow.
