CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), should cooperate in the investigation on the questions raised against him.

In a press conference held in Dhangadhi on Wednesday, General Secretary Pokharel said that the intention is to stop the investigation of the activities currently going on regarding the misappropriation of cooperative funds.

"Activities to stop investigation are activities of mockery of the rule of law," General Secretary Pokharel said in response to a question regarding the RSVP chairman and cooperative funds, "You cannot run away from the process of investigation and give good governance." General Secretary Pokharel says that the money received by setting up a

company was obtained from a cooperative and that it is against the rules that cooperatives cannot invest in the company. He said that the funds of the cooperative were misused. During that time, he said, 'A clean chit is obtained when a person is acquitted by the court or found innocent by the investigation. The committee said take action according to the law.'
