The first and third bypass (cross passage) of Palpa's Siddhababa Tunnel under Siddharth Highway has been 'break through'. Construction of two out of three bypasses under the Siddhababa tunnel project has been completed.

The first bypass is towards Upper Siddhababa Temple and the third bypass is towards Dobhan Dam side . Information Officer Engineer Gyawali said that it will take another week for the second bypass to break through as it has not reached the main tunnel part and is a bit long.
According to him, the length of the second bypass is 161 meters. 117 meters of its tunnel has been excavated.
